Energy Efficiency Saving Opportunities for Alberta's Homeowners
Starting April 28, 2017, purchase any eligible energy-efficient refrigerator, clothes washer, or smart thermostat and then use the application available on-line at https://www.efficiencyalberta.ca/online-rebates/ and upload your receipt. A rebate cheque will be issued in six to eight weeks.
These rebates are helping to make energy-efficient appliances more affordable for Albertans. And, once you’ve purchased an energy-efficient refrigerator, clothes washer, or smart thermostat, you’ll immediately begin to save money on your energy bills too.
There is a limit of two products, per category, per address. But don’t let that stop you—check out the eligible products, and start saving.
There are also Home Improvement Rebates: Work with a participating Alberta contractor to increase your at-home energy efficiency with improved insulation, upgraded windows and tankless water heaters—all at a great discount.
The more energy your home-improvement project saves, the more money you’ll get back in rebates—that’s the promise of Energy Efficiency Alberta’s Home Improvement Rebate program’s performance-based rebates.
We recommend getting at least three quotes from registered contractors, who will be able to provide more details and an estimate of your rebate based on your home’s existing insulation, windows, and hot water heater.
